New material from Miss Marsha that I saw over at TSS. It should be off of her upcoming mixtape Yours Truly Revisted. Not a bad listen if I must say so myself. Looks like the beginnings of another solid collection of songs from her.

Eternia drops off the latest episode of her road to release series. This time broadcasting from her recent Lyricist Lounge peformance where she got busy and earned  an encore for doing so.  I know we were there, don’t believe me watch the video for yourself…

Amongst the many many tributes and remixes that have surface for the passing of Michael Jackson, I got to check this one out that was posted on OKP earlier. Apologies for not finding a better image, but it was rumored that they would perform a tribute to MJ on the Jimmy Fallon show on Friday. After I setting my DVR, I come to find out that these weren’t aired (big fail on NBC’s part) but they instead did shorts for the audience during commercial breaks and such. Thankfully these were recorded and we can enjoy them.

New video from Talib Kweli & Hi -Tek that I saw over at Illroots. I’m diggging this track. If this is just a taste of what the new album is going to be then the later part of the year is going to be a good one music wise.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Eternia drops off the 3rd episode of the on going series leading up to the release of her upcoming project with MoSS. This time there’s a bit of guest footage from some of the folks that were at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival and the afterparty as well, which was totally missed as we were preparing for Make Music New York the following day.

Yes that’s really Milk D from Audio Two, who by the way did a small tune called Top Billin’ at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.

What’s up, as we’re still trying to dry off after last weekend’s festivities. We’ll start off with the 5th Annual BK Festival.

The show was pretty good even through the off and on rain that was coming down the entire afternoon. I think last year’s show as better, but that may because we had better weather, and not everyone was trying to cram under the tent that was set up this year.

Either way you can’t get mad at the line up for only $10. By the way Styles P tore the place down. I really didn’t know, I really didn’t.

We also love to give you an update for the Make Music New York festivities that were scheduled for the following day, but the weather really really wasn’t playing in our favor that afternoon. Unfortunately just as things were set up, that rain starting falling pretty heavy and the show as eventually rained out. We’ll keep you posted on things as a make-up date should be in the works.

In the meantime enjoy the footage of the super guest feature from Black Though of The Roots.

The good folks at Ironhorse Music teams up with Make Music New York and Time Out Magazine to put together a free outdoor concert from 3pm- 7pm. The setup will be outside of the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University. Looks like BK is the place to be this weekend. Speaking of treats, after the concert is over you can hit the world famous Juniors across the street for some cheesecake. Now what’s better then that?

Eternia drops another episode for us as the Road to Release gets closer. With guest appearances from Mr. Man of Bush Babees fame and Primo himself. These are starting to get interesting as the date gets closer. All we need now is a…umm leak. I mean treat, a sample, or morsel or something.

Also, Eternia will be performing during the next legendary Lyricist Lounge hosted by Jeru the Damaja next Friday 26 June at 92YTribeca 200 Hudson Street (off Canal Street/ near the Holland Tunnel) . Peep the flyer below for more info:

Man the summer concerts are in full swing. If you missed the recent Black Star show at the Nokia Theater you really missed out.

However you have a chance to redeem yourself with this one. As Red & Mef and Ghostface head the kick off for All Points West at the Nokia Theater on 30 July. Should be a good look, I hope to pick up some tix before the show’s sold out.

What’s going on peoples, sorry for the lag of updates. The wait is well worth it as there’s a couple of things going on to enjoy. First up is Episode #1 from Eternia in promotion for her new collaboration album with producer MoSS (who just got down with Primo as a production partner).

According to the T-dot representative this will be a series of promotional videos for the new project At Last due out later this year.
